FT Night Radian LED Controller Debuted at FliteFest Ohio 2019

We showed up at FliteFest Ohio 2019 with 15 finished units. I also had a working unit in my Night Radian, and my son had a prototype unit in his Night Radian. The first night we flew, we didn’t say anything about the new controller, we just wanted to see if anyone noticed. The next day I was talking to other pilots about the controller, and several of them responded that they saw it the night before and were curious. Once I explained all of the functions, including the altimeter/variometer functions, a few pilots asked to buy them. After that, word started to spread, but I still hadn’t gotten a chance to demonstrate it for Josh Bixler, the president of Flite Test. By the time I was able to connect with Josh, I had already sold out of them, except for the one I was saving for him, and by the end of the weekend, I had even sold the one out of my own Night Radian, and I had people wanting to buy the prototype from my son’s plane.

It was a good weekend, to say the least.
